Senior Legal Counsel

Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is looking for a strong candidate for Senior Legal Counsel role located in Moscow.

Reporting line: Legal Director, Russia & CIS

Position summary: Provides analysis and counsel on legal, policy, and environmental issues. Anticipates and guards against legal risks facing the company. Develops and recommends policy and position on legal issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support to issues/matters in respective areas under the supervision of Legal Director in close collaboration with in-market functions and Business with involvement of European and US legal colleagues on cross-regional areas of work or projects where appropriate
• Partner with the Business in achieving its goals and objectives in respective areas by providing high-quality, proactive, objective and commercially-oriented legal services and advice with respect to e.g., Russian legislation concerning advertising, products, commercial contracts, competition law and compliance issues affecting J&J activities, review/approval of product promotional claims
• Provides analysis and counsel on moderately complex issues such as proposed new products, mergers and acquisitions, financial offerings, financial structuring, compliance issues, nondisclosure agreements, outsourcing agreements and influences business planning
• Provides legal counsel on moderately complex issues arising from actual or anticipated lawsuits
• Reviews company policy and implements recommendations for changes to positions on legal issues
• Writes and administers moderately vendor, client, and employment contracts
• Commercial policies development
• Legal trainings to sales organization
• Develop and continuously improve knowledge and expertise in key areas of law that are central to the attainment of the objectives and strategies of J&J

Requirements:

• University / Bachelor Degree required
• 8+ years of experience in a Multinational company/International law firm preferably Healthcare industry
• Effective Influencing and Communication
• Ability to work in a matrix organization and understand the need for continual liaison and information of regional and HQ teams
• Ability to deal effectively with members of various corporate functions with presence and credibility to secure support, buy-in, and enthusiasm internally and externally for a course of action
• Ability to influence and work cross-functionally and interacting effectively within the organization
• Must also possess excellent relationship building, conflict management and networking skills
• Fluent level of Russian & English
